The GW 17B is a high-performance OEM mechanical seal specifically configured for Alfa Laval® LKR series agitators. Its elastomer bellows design effectively protects the spring and internal components from process media, making it ideal for applications involving viscous fluids, abrasive particles, or crystallizing materials. The innovative bellows structure also prevents clogging and material buildup in demanding mixing environments.
The seal incorporates premium sealing face materials including reaction-bonded silicon carbide and fine-grained tungsten carbide combinations. These advanced materials ensure exceptional wear resistance, thermal stability, and extended service life in continuous operation under variable speeds and loads. The bellows construction effectively compensates for shaft deflection, runout, and vibration common in high-torque agitation applications, maintaining consistent sealing performance and leakage-free operation throughout its operational lifespan.
