The GW 160A utilizes a robust, balanced taper spring mechanism that maintains optimal closing force on the seal faces, ensuring stable operation even with minor shaft deflection or run-out. This design is particularly effective in handling the thermal cycles and pressure variations common in process applications. The primary sealing faces, featuring a carbon rotary ring against a silicon carbide (SiC) stationary ring, provide exceptional wear resistance and long service life when processing fluids with mild abrasives or requiring thermal stability. The seal is supplied as a complete set of matched components, engineered for precise installation into the pump's seal chamber.
